New Shopsmith (Electronic) Catalog

Post by algale »

Just go an email from Shopsmith with a link to their new, electronic, flip catalog. Neat!

Turn down your volume as the paging is noisy.

I am very pleased to see this happening. Now all I have to do is learn how to use it. As long as I do not enlarge the image, I can get everything to work (flip pages, etc.).

When I enlarge the page, I loose the flip page capability.

I can not enlarge just a little bit. It gives me what it wants me to see.

I am a slow learner on things like this so I'll just have to persevere until I learn all the tricks.

You can turn off the sound. In the upper left there are three horizontal lines, to the left of the SS logo, click on these and you'll get a menu on the left. Click on Preferences and there is an item to turn off sound.

Double click on a page you want to zoom and then you can click and drag the page around. Double click again to go back to regular size.

Mine is along the bottom, icon and barely discernible text. Maybe dealing with browsers or versions or type of OS??? Anyway it was turned on when I opened it and was loud and annoying to me, turned down the volume as in off for my first look. When I went back the next time I saw the speaker icon and turned it off.

My page looks like this:

When the page is magnified (full width) you can change pages by using the left/right arrows on your keyboard (the up/down arrows will scroll up and down) , or you can click on the left and right arrows in the center of the menu bar at the top of the page, (either side of the little window that shows what page you are on). :)

Also, if your mouse scroll wheel has the left and right switches they will page back and forth.
