Pony & Jorgensen back in business???

Post by jsburger »

It appears that they are back. The web site never went away so I always wondered what was going on. The new owner is a Chinese company GreatStar Industrial. The article lists some other well known companies they own.

They pledge to keep the quality but we shall see I guess.

Read the article, there are some interesting comments.

I have some of the one they called Gear clamps. I have a pair of the 8" and a pair of 12" and they are far and away the most used clamps in my collection. I'd like a few more of them it they do come back.

It says they are unavailable.

I checked the other Jorgensen clamps on the site with similar results. Either they are marked as unavailable or I can add them to my cart.

My guess is what the they actually bought was the brand.

Well, here is a quote from the article. Take it FWIW...

"GreatStar’s new line of Jorgensen and Pony products will be available in August."

Let's all hope that what happened to the Delta quality does not happen to the Jorgensen and Pony quality.
Very poor parts support and high prices along diminished quality.
