Finished project for the kids

Post by kalynzoo »

I finish the holiday project for the kids. Made five of these. Although it did not take much finesse, the decorations were fun to make. The hardest part was trying to get the picture on the website. I just started using Adobe Photoshop Elements 7, and it is a challenge. My youngest says when he is home from Sac State for Christmas he will give me some lessons. This project let me use up all the leftover plywood I had stored around. The moose body is made in three pieces...antlers, body&feet, and face. They are glued and pinned in back behind the face. This permits smaller sheets of material to be used, and makes it easy to use the bandsaw. The lights are mounted by drilling a small diameter hole for the bulb, and then a wider hole to insert and grasp the plastic socket. Anyway, it was fun. Gary

Nice job Gary!

I'm sure the recipients and their neighbours will enjoy them when the season rolls around, all too soon.

Hi Gary - It had to be fun, as you said, 'cause the product already looks like fun! Very nice!

Hope after your surgery, your knees don't resemble the moose's! (he he!)
