Items for resale?

Post by naccrr28 »

Being new and not wishing to violate any rules, I need a point in the right direction. If a member has an item for sale, is there somewhere to post it?
Thank you for the info!

It has been my experience that this forum is not the place to do that. However, your question has caused me to wonder whether or not it might be appropriate to create such a space on this site. I am sure there might be other venues to do this but I see no reason why such a venture couldn't be discussed here.

Charlie, you might want to try the Shopsmith users group...

http://www.ssug.org/index.php

I think they have a place for selling items. At least they did the last time I visited there.

Zank you both for your input! In my short time here I haven't seen any mention of items for sale so I thought I'd better ask first. I will try the user group and once again I thank you both!

Items for Resale

Post by billmayo »

Since this is a Shopsmith sponsored website, any reselling listing would be defeating Shopsmith purpose for selling the same products. Shopsmith needs all the new sales they can get to help them stay in business.

Counter productive????

A lot of Shopsmith items on ebay sell for more than Shopsmith's regular price.

Example:
Last two -three lever drill handles- were over $29 plus $10 for shipping.

Makes Shopsmith look like the low cost supplier!:D especially w/the friendly customer service, the parts are new w/o any condition qualifers, and no wait for auction to end.

Hi articlegenesis,
Thank you for your information, but what naccrr28 was asking was if he could sell an item from these forums. ShopSmith does not allow that, so the answer is no. :)
