RIP ERLover/Wild Bad Bob
Recently, I realized I hadn't seen posts from ERLover (aka Wild Bad Bob) and when I checked his profile saw that he hadn't posted since mid May.
I did some research and found a post where he listed his real name as Robert M. Bursek http://www.shopsmith.com/ss_forum/viewt ... 26#p215726
A little further research found this obituary for Robert M "Mike" Bursek from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reproduced on Legacy.com:
http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/jsonli ... =185729128
He passed May 29, 2017. Not many biographical details, but it says he had two sons, which ERLover talked about. And I googled the mom listed in the obit and she is 97, like ERLover's.
I had my run ins with ERLover at times, but I thought he had made amends here, turned over a new leaf and made a lot of contributions.
Rest in Peace.

Re: RIP ERLover/Wild Bad Bob
I too had noted his absence and was wondering. That must be hard on his mom as he was her primary care giver and very devoted. And yes, he did try to limit his contributions mostly to Shopsmith related posts in the last couple of years! I liked seeing his posts.

I too had noticed he wasn't posting but with being the caregiver to his Mom I figured things had just gotten really busy. This was a shocker!
Thanks algale for the searching and efforts to find out what had happened.
I agree he was doing better these days, in a lot more control. In deed RIP.

I always enjoyed his slant on things. Hopefully they have a wood shop up there with 10ER's. RIP
Re: RIP ERLover/Wild Bad Bob
Just a couple of days ago I thought the same as the rest of you. No posts in quite a while. That is sad news. I too enjoyed his posts and will miss him. May he rest in peace.

Re: RIP ERLover/Wild Bad Bob
The best thing you can say about him was that he was a very good woodworker, and in this company, that is saying something.
Rest in Peace Wild Bad Bob. One way or another, you left a legacy here ....

Thank you algale for sharing this.
I too had noticed his absence from the forum but thought he might be busy with his Mom.
What a shock, as he was the same age as me.
He may have been controversial at times but I enjoyed his posts and the knowledge he shared, I will miss him.
RIP Mike.
