chains and binders

not what you might think.


I have been working on a wooden toy flat bed pick up truck for a while now , I still haven't been able to find a set of miniature binders or small chains with hooks to make the thing look like the lumber being hauled is secure ,, any one ever seen any thing like that,,I seen them once on a log car for a toy train but I cant seem to find anything.

The flat deck trailers around here use wide cargo straps.

An alternate could be to use elastic tape (like for sewing, not sticky) so it looked right but worked like a bungee cord, and something like these for the hook.

Not sure if you are looking for functionality or to scale looks.

This is a picture of my son's trailer that uses a generic bungee cord from the local hardware store (to figure he lost the bungee right when I would want to take a picture.) but you get the idea. The sides are separated by a gap with dowels space between. The bungee hooks onto the dowel on both sides. This one straps his helicopter onto it.

I don't know what scale you need but I Googled "scale chain and binder" and came up with a lot. Mostly HO scale but I did not look too hard.
