planer pulley cover

Post by woodmeister »

anyone know if shop smith sells the pulley cover for a stand alone planer?? Are there more than one model? Mine has a crank and maybe a pro planer not sure yet. Looked in catalog but saw no reference to one,
Thanks,
Tom

I assume if it has a 'crank' then it is a SS mount model with manual feed.

In the mean time - Gorilla tape. It is all that it is advertised to be.

IIUC, the pulley covers are not 'SPT specific'. That said, I think there have been two versions(short/long).

In the past the belt covers were a no-cost item. Perhaps if they still do, it would explain why they are not in a catalog etc.. A coupon was included in original tool packaging.

The power stand covers are not specific. However the Pro Planer cover is different and not like the others.

Yes I understand 51421702 is the one I need. I have two of the other power stand belts guards new in box. Will check and see for sure since you stated planer guards come in 2 sizes. Thank you!!
