Help me to buy LED Drivers Power Supplies

Re: Help me to buy LED Drivers Power Supplies
I have no experience with them. Any LED lights I use have their own built in supply with the light to run directly off 120v AC so no additional power supply is needed.

Me thinks this is spam. Cleverly disguised but spam nonetheless.

Re: Help me to buy LED Drivers Power Supplies
I first thought that some one was setting up a inverter to a battery power solar system for led lights.

OK, #1 not spam - #2 BS! Say good-bye, tomorrow you disappear.
If you are still here after Admin passes judgement, I will apologize for my language barrier.
Your request simply makes no sense to me other than to inject a link.
If you need a power supply, you need to understand what the load characteristics are.( voltage - current) Leds typically need current limiting(series resistance).
If you seriously need help, we need to know more re what your load is.
Also I do not understand led 'DRIVERS'.

Google LED Drivers. You'll see dozens of links that tell you everything you want to know about them. They won't tell you brands (or rather they'll probably tout the brands they carry), but the shopping part is easier once you know what you want.

So why would you go to a woodworking, shopsmith site to ask questions?john_001 wrote:Google LED Drivers. You'll see dozens of links that tell you everything you want to know about them. We saw that same link before, perhaps if this is legit the user could remove the link as a show of good faith?

Really a harsh and unnecessary put down, JPG. Yes, strange and unusual question/comment in a wood working forum but this post is not the only one in that category.

Re: Help me to buy LED Drivers Power Supplies
I am no expert on the technology but years ago on a salt water aquarium site they were discussing led technology and how it was better because of heat gains from halide lights on the water, there was a discussion on the quality of the materials ,,,and what to or,,, not to buy, when all was said and done it came down to ,, were you going to dim the led's or not, seems like there is a difference ,,,then thee was the question of how soon replacements could be obtained if some thing failed.
Any way,, for what it is worth there seemed to be a agreement that they all work as long as they work with in their own parameters .some were sealed for moisture and rated as such,,,, and some were not ,

I don't believe that the brand made much difference.
