Re: Clamp Rack Build
Putting the drill centerline mark on the fence is a neat idea — that had never occurred to me. What are the two outboard marks for?
Re: Clamp Rack Build
I too like to have several chucks and then I can set the depth for say the counterbore and with another bit for the though hole set so it finishes the holes. Then when I get to the next piece I can switch back to the counterbore and not have to adjust anything.
Some times I can make use of three chucks in the same way, not as easy but it does happen from time to time. It is a lot like having many sanding disks, and many drum sanders or even a couple lathe chucks.

Those outer lines are at 3/4" for drilling my drawer box fronts for attaching the drawer faces.

Re: Clamp Rack Build
I'm using raw edge plywood for this and a 3/16" radius bit to ease all the edges.
Also using a cove bit to create a finger pull for the doors.
And the casters finally arrived. The postal service lost the first order.
And I decided to double up on the hinges to carry the weight.

Re: Clamp Rack Build
I used dominoes and pocket screws to attach the sides to the partition.
And came up with this BIG H.

I like your current clamp holder in the background! It looks like mine.

Re: Clamp Rack Build
Next it was time to attach the bottom and top to the big H.
This is where I discovered that the top of this rack would be a great place to store the totes for my drawer clips.
I built a simple plywood track to hold them in place.

Re: Clamp Rack Build
Time to hang the doors and start placing the clamp holders.
I decided to add a plywood piece on the quick clamp hangers to be able to squeeze them down so they wont bang around when I open the doors.
The idea to cut the parallel clamp holder into 3 sections worked pretty well. I just had to drill some extra holes for screws.

Re: Clamp Rack Build
Clamp Kebabs.
I can lift out the entire racks which makes using these pretty fast.
Well that's where I stopped today. I need to pick up some more skewers to finish the inside on the first side. Also the rest of my Rockler holders are setting in Spartanburg at the UPS terminal and will be delivered Monday. Its working out very well and I'll be excited to see it finished!

Re: Clamp Rack Build
As usual, Mark, it looks fantastic. Your end product is always impressive but what amazes me even more is how your projects come together so quickly. If I was to built that it would take me weeks. I have said it before...I would love to spend time in your shop just watching how you work.
