Puzzle box
My wife requested I make a puzzle box to put some cash in for our nephew that is getting ready to graduate from high school. I've never made one so I checking to see if anyone has any ideas or plans for one a novice puzzle box maker (me) could make.

I don't know if you turn or not but I made this one for a grandson a few years ago. This is not simple but guidance is on U Tube

Thanks, I Haven't turned anything in about 25 years. I might try this down the road though as I can't man-handle sheet goods and heavy lumber anymore and I have been wanting to get back to turning again.

I decided to go with the easiest one I could find since it was used as a gift box and most probably never be used again. I went with the nail puzzle box. Here are a few photos of the finished project. I went with pine scraps I had around and just put some tung oil on it. Not my best work but it works and meets the needs of the project. Sounds like I'm justifying the not so perfect construction, I am.

To lock you shake the box and to unlock you put it on flat surface and spin one way and then spin the other and the centrifugal force spins the flat part of the nails back against the outside walls (short walls) of the box. Per the video. Sorry, I didn't see it before I replied.
