After several years I managed to find a place for the leaves!!

The very first time,,,,several years ago ,,, I used the scroll saw /jig saw on the SS I made the leaves , they are maple with walnut veins.

I used the scroll saw to cut the leaf and the veins ,,,and then slice a very thin piece of walnut to fit the slot, I used rubber bands to hold it for the glue to dry.,,,,, once you cut the veins ,,,,you cant move it or they will break, sanding is very light,,, do the veins one at a time and be very very very very very care full. I seen them done once and the guy used a chisel to add contour .the maple on these was very soft so I left them the way they are to avoid chipping or breakage .
When I was done I think I had 3 hrs or so into each one.
was a fun way to spend a after noon.
