That is true, they made minor changes to the head stock casting when they when from the double wedge locks to the single wedge locks, (Feb, 1952 per Skip Campbell).

Keep both, for all the reasons stated. I'm looking for a third on so I can leave the table mounted and true while mounting the dedicated 10ER lathe at a more convenient height for turning which is too high for saw, sander, & horizontal drill. My 10E is dedicated drill press.
