help identifying everything that came with my second hand SS

Post by Red00Shift »

Hey all, I just bought a model 500 today and received a large quantity of extra parts and pieces. Several are still in original packaging and seem to have never been opened. Would anyone with a little patience be willing to identify if I email pictures of everything I have? TIA.

If the manual didn't come with it, then for $30 you can get one here

http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/catalog/OM_MARKV.htm

make sure you get the 500 manual, might be able to find one free, but need one you will, SS is not an intuitive machine. I grew up helping my dad (he bought it in the 80's), after he passed I got it, so all up be around it for over 30 years, I still have to break out the manual some times. Every part is listed, where it goes, how to use it, how to adjust it...etc...very good manual

We would prefer pictures of your purchase, but you can get a lot of identification help from forum member Everrett Davis' Buying a Used Shopsmith. Go to his Google Drive page to download. Many other very helpful documents there, too.

I appreciate the responses. Here are the ones I'm kind of clueless on.

Pictures have two size requirements both of which must be met. They can not be larger than 2050 pixels wide and 1180 pixels high. The file must also not be larger than 2MB.

I use Microsoft Office Picture Manager and change the size to 1024 X 768 and they comply with both limits.

Another tip. Take the pictures in landscape mode (wider than high), The forum software doesn't deal well with pictures taken in portrait mode (especially if taken with an Iphone).
