How to set odd anagles on miter gauge?

Have no fear I took the intent and not the details and used a point of 12" from the vertex, ie just like back in drafting classes and geometry class.

My err was from not actually attempting to measure.... finding a half way point between the two lines could have been done more accurately but was very very close with out resorting to actual measurements.

This got me thinking, if one could identity the vertex on the miter gauge then make a drawing(cad drawing of a line and then a second line 1/2 degree away) if you could line up with the vertex and be slide/rotate the paper to line up with the extension on the miter gauge you could get the alignment then tape the paper in place and then rotate the miter gauge to the line that is a half degree different..........

I don't have time to play with this but feel free to give it a try, it should work..........

Good point. The arc is not required. But if the measurements are made at points "equal distance from the vertex" are those not the same points as those taken on an arc whose radius is that same length. I think this is apples and apples.

Bottom line: I was wrong in my initial comments about taking measurements at the tables edge.
