shopsmith powerpro upgrade

I'm putting a new power pro system in my shopsmith. I found a washer that looks like a washer with a dome on it, and most of the dome is cut off. Do I need this washer with the power pro system? If so, where does it go and which way does the dome part face?

I believe you are referring to the washer that locks the quill. It is on the quill shaft between the internal web and the sliding sleeve. the 'dome' faces the sleeve.

Thanks for the help. I'm not sure what you mean by the internal shaft. Do you mean the plastic piece that the grooved end of the quill shaft slides into?

Sorry, I should have said quill FEED shaft.
