It appears that Shopsmith will be stopping support for the Professional Planer. I just snagged a Cast Iron Planer Table for my planer for only $43 including shipping in the current parts close out sale. If you have the Mark V mounted version that you have put on its own support stand with its own motor then changing out the table will make it just like the Professional Stand Alone Model with the exception of the feed motor.
The current site only lists the Mark V/7 mounted version as available to buy. It make senses that this is the only model going forward because of the increased horsepower of the Power Pro Motor.
Even if you do not plan to change out the table, it is a cheap spare since the tables for either model are over $350 usually. Last month they dumped the remaining 1 3/4 HP motors for the professional planer.

Re: Stand Alone Professional Planer Support
I just scored a ProPlaner in very nice clean condition yesterday for $400 and an hour drive each way. So worth it since I have been trying to mount mine on a stand anyway. After I put sharp blades in my original and set them correctly, I will sell it. I also picked up another one that needs blades sharpened I will sell after I get that done and go over it. it needs the safety key which is what I was looking for when I got to forum. I make mini stands and the foot print for Pro is smaller that a mini stand and now now need to buy a huge motor cause this already has it! I hope I do not have problems with this one cause if discontinued getting parts might be a booger. But most parts I think are same except tables and feed motors.
