Another was a hand wheel on the table lift. The PO had also made a front table extension and a couple of table inserts all milled from solid aluminum stock. The knob in the picture has a very natural feel when using it.

Here is a close-up of that knob apart, it's very simple. It is a very hard 1 1/4" ball, I believe made for a machine tool like a drill press or the like. It has a threaded brass insert made into it.

Here is the solid table insert milled from a piece of heavy aluminum. Its home is on one side of the Push-me Pull-me double drill press.

I forgot to get a pic of the front table extension. I'll try to remember it tomorrow. It is nicely made but not quite as solid fitting as I would like, I need to change the clamping method from how the PO did it.
