I am struggling trying to make sketchup useful to me. I do not relate to working in projected mode(rather than front side top). I am often selecting a point on the wrong end of a line(the ones which run through the 'thickness' of an object. When I select the wrong end, all sorts of difficult to recover from things occur. Surfaces disappear and new edges are created.
Any one know of a way to 'undo' an immediately previous action?
Also ant tips re defining a counter bored through hole?
Also any way to control positioning of 'comments' relative to the 'drawing'. They do not move with the other stuff(part/dimensions) but seem to be fixed 'in space' relative to lord knows what.

Re: sketchup 'undo'
I think you need to start with viewing the tutorial videos.
Undo is a short cut key combo of ALT+Backspace or under the edit button or get the larger tool sets and have it there to just click. There is also a redo in case you step too far back with the undo's.
Make component is your friend so check how to do that. Make the component then edit it. Draw the two circles then pull the through hole and then the countersink to your depth desired. It will make a lot more sense once you go through the basic tutorials.

Re: sketchup 'undo'
I have been wondering if a hole can be a component. I understand the double diameter and differing push pull. I think I am fighting an unreliable 'left switch' as well. I am also fighting my laptop's capacative touch pad(a pos).reible wrote:I think you need to start with viewing the tutorial videos.
