I am in the process of building Beehive covers for a charity that I work with! This morning after sawing some boards, I noticed two washers on the floor right below the dust cover outlet. The dust hose was installed, so they did not come from the saw housing. One is a flat 1/2 inch but the other is 1-1/4" with an interior tab which must fit into a slot somewhere! I have looked at all of the diagrams for the carriage, saw housing etc., see no evidence of a nut or a place where this large washer can go! If you know where it/they belong, I'd appreciate your help!
Thanks,
Ted

Re: Found washers on floor!
Photos would help. But from the description it sound like you found pieces to the dado arbor/molder arbor, which has several thick washers and one that has a tongue -- an internal tab -- that fits into a slot on that arbor. You can't see the tongue in this photo. But this is what that arbor looks like and you can see the thick washers on the arbor. http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/cata ... oarbor.htm
