Lathe Duplicator Table

Post by RonKipp »

I picked up a NIB ("New In Box") Shopsmith Lathe Duplicator from EBay that unfortunately was missing two pieces that I know of at this time. The first piece was the instruction manual that I've already secured (Thank You Very Much Shopsmith Customer Service), and the second one is the Lathe Duplicator Table which is on back order at Shopsmith.

I was contemplating making the table myself out of MDF, but I can't seem to find the dimensions of the table anywhere.

Can someone post or email those dimensions to me?

Do you have the mounting post/brackets?

I have one and can measure it later tonight, maybe by 8:00 or so when I get back home.

14 9/16 x 18 7/8

I do not think the overall dimensions are critical.

The position of the holes/threaded inserts for the mounting tubes/bracket is the important thing.

I will attempt to get them later.

The holes centers are 6 x 13 3/4.

The pattern is centered along the 6" but offset 1 1/4" along the 13 3/4.

Looks like you have the dimensions thanks to JPG and it saves me from having to go out in the cold garage to dig it out, thanks JPG.

The holes have a pattern so the table can be used on the 500 spacing or the 505/510/520 spacing.

I also agree the size is not critical. You could even use your main table with a overlay but that will limit the diameter of pieces you can turn.... I've not tried this but it should work unless someone knows something I don't.
