When the bench tubes are inserted into the base correctly, the available width is shorter(they are not inserted fully in the pix).

26" is very short, but 'ok' if no carriage.table is used.

Thanks ,,,,If I were closer I would have been on this for that kind of money and set it up for SPT storage.
