555204 Sharpening Guide
I see it is on sale. Any thoughts from current owners? Is it a must have?

I own and use this jig. I would not say it is a must have vs. other vendors. What I like about it is that it uses a sanding disk with paper vs. grinding wheels that need periodic dressing. With the sand paper and disk I have a flat surface to use always and when the paper wears out it can be replaced at a fraction of the price of a wheel. Draw back is once the chisels get to about six inches you can no longer sharpen them on the jig. On anohter thread there was a gentlemen that made a modification to put paper on both sides of the sanding disk allowing you to sharpen with the jig and turn at the same time. I forget who it was or when it was but it was a wonderful modification that I have not performed yet but intent to. Hope this helps because turning is a real treat for quick gratification.

The first post has pictures of the prototype. I promised to post pictures of the completed project and I will. I just can't find them on my computer right now.
