Skermish in the Snow

Looks like one of the many hawks in the area got dinner last evening or breakfast this morning. That is just before you go through the gate out to the shop.

Maybe it was this guy or one of his friends. He sat there on the deck railing for about 20 minutes back on the 14th. The bird feeder is hanging above the railing about 4' to his left. Needless to say no birds until he departed.

Had something similar happen this morning. Was pouring a cup of coffee, looking out my front window, when a hawk came out of nowhere and pounced on something about 8 feet in front of the window! Looked at me and flew off.
Gale's Law: The bigger the woodworking project, the less the mistakes show in any photo taken far enough away to show the entire project!

Hawks have to eat, and almost all of what they eat is better off dead anyway.
