Selling my Mark 5 and tool boxes

Post by darticus »

How do you know the value. This works fine and very little use from new. I also have tool boxes and three 42 inch shopsmith clamps. Ron

While it is not permissible to sell items here in the Shopsmith Forums, there is a group on Facebook where that is quite permissible and a number of forum members here are there as well, myself included.

The Cabinets are often hard to find, so some members here may be private messaging you as they were offered for only a brief time in Shopsmith history.

You did not list your location which can affect the going prices. I would research eBay sellers, and Craigslist postings near you for values that others are seeking..... Key word - Seeking...... not all receive what they post they want, and some post thousands of dollars for items that are so commonplace with a bit of patience that can be had for several hundred.

Others put theirs up for eBay Bids and set a minimum starting bid...

What ever listing format you elect to use, good clear photos with all the accessories and documentation illustrated will be better for attracting buyers. Open up those drawers and expose everything in them even if you have to lay out each drawers contents on a blanket etc. A photo of the serial number is essential to help establish its age.

Your location is essential, for packaging and shipping is a daunting task so local pick-up will likely restrict your geographic region of interest somewhat.
