For those of you who have been around awhile, I had tried starting a Shopsmith Users Group a few years back. We had met a few times at the Woodcraft Store in Fort Wayne, which has since gone out of business. Due to work requirements, I was never able to get this idea off the ground. Now that I am retired, I would like to spend some time on an idea I had floated a few years back and would like to pursue now since I have time to devote to such an undertaking. Here is what I envision: A group of Shopsmith owners from the Tri-State Area of Northeast Indiana, Northwest Ohio, and Southeast Michigan. After an initial meeting, we would get together on a monthly basis for tipsharing, fellowship, some sawdust time (I would be more than happy to host a few), maybe a roadtrip or two, etc. If this would be something which you would like to participate in, please send me a pm via this forum. I really believe this can fulfill a need for Shopsmith owners in this area.
