Shopsmith Router
I recently purchased a SS Mark V (used). The machine had been upgraded from 500 to 510 table system, and I have the old style router fence and it will not fasten to the 510 table system, is there way to get just the replacement clips that will allow me to attach the fence to my table or will I have to purchase a complete new router fence to fit the 510 table system?

Re: Shopsmith Router
The Router/Shaper Fence for the Model 510/520/M7 tables mount with cap screws and nuts which go through the holes in the table next to the insert hole. The Router/Shaper Fence for the Model 500 is too short to clamp on to the wider 510 table like it does to the original 500 table. There are some who have adapted the 500 to fit the 510 as shown in the picture below.
It requires drilling the matching holes to attach it with Cap Screws and nuts shown with the red arrows. Below is the fence shown on the 500 table and arrows pointing out the holes for mounting it to the 510 without any screws.
I have not done this myself since my first Shopsmith was my father-in-laws 520 and so I bought the fence made for it.

Re: Shopsmith Router
thanks for the information, I will try this. With my machine I still have the old 500 table, would it be best if I swap tables to use the router system?
