I don't get as much woodshop time as I would like during the spring, summer and fall since I am usually working outside. At this time (early June) it is light from about 6 AM until well after 9 PM. I tend to put in some long hours outside and am pretty well run down by the end of the day.
One day last week it was 95 degrees outside (getting to be a bad habit for so early) and the inside of the farm shop was only a few degrees cooler. I did get a little time in the woodshop that one day and in the basement woodshop under the air conditioned house it was 70 degrees (and very low humuggity ).
The basement shop may have a few minor downsides but year round constant temperatures are a huge plus...
