Look what followed me home after work

As I was leaving work tonight I got an email from my Cragslist search for shopsmith. A complete 510 with bandsaw and jointer for $300. It's filthy and makes some very unshopsmithlike noises but has very little rust. A quick inspection and it needs belts and the speed control works but is a bit wonky. It has both the 500 and 510 carriages and tables mounted on it.

I won't have time to work on it for a few months, but it seemed too good to pass up.

The jointer and bandsaw tables are rusty but not horrible. Both seem to work. Everything else is still in a couple of bins in the back seat of my truck and I havnen't had a chance to go through it yet. Ther serial number is 175162 so it looks like April 1984. Almost a decade older than my other one.

We're 9 days away from my daughter's wedding, and her twin sister is getting married in September, so I'm a bit busy with other stuff.
