Order issues

Post by Beave2012 »

Just got my order from July 4th. I ordered the bandsaw bar for the bandsaw fence and to make it easy I ordered the bolts and washers too. Today I got a flat envelope for my order. They sent the washers and bolts but forgot the bar itself. The pick list it was mailed with even shows the bar. Shouldn't the order of 3 bolts and 3 washers have warranted a second look at the order paper to see the primary reason? This kind of sloppy mistake is ridiculous. I did contact customer service but still needed to vent.

Yes, it was a mistake by the person that pulled the parts. That is probably not the same person that packed the parts for shipping. The packer may not even know what the parts are that you ordered. Since the pick list was all checked he/she packed it.

Nobody on the SS end knows what your "primary" reason was for the order. You could have just as well ordered a replacement part with out hardware (the bar) and also hardware for another unrelated part.

The pick list, if I am not mistaken, will show all of the items that were ordered with a brief (sometimes cryptic) nomenclature(name) for the part. I just received an order that contained five of the six items on the pick list. The missing item, I now know, is on back order til late August.

It is getting very disappointing. I ordered 2 of the sandpaper disc combos last Sunday on line that were on sale. Never got a confirmation email nor an order number. Nothing on my credit card. I guess I did not submit it properly or their system did not work. Either way I don't care anymore at this point. I can get sandpaper discs from woodcraft. too too bad I really miss the old crew.

Since you ordered on Sunday (on line), the order would have been taken by the computer (thus no crew involved). When you complete an order on line, the computer confirms that order (almost immediately) - again no crew. Since you received NO CONFIRMATION email - I would conclude that that the on line order was never completed (not the crews fault. Guess who screwed up - not the crew, not the computer.

Yeah, sure. The programmer created a glitch that is selective as to whose order gets screwed up. I don't think so.

During the last month and a half, I have has two online orders that worked their way through the system with no problems.

Who said anything about the software being 'selective'? I was relating to poor human factors that do not make it obvious when an order is not successful.

BTW recently your posts have been duplicated with the second quoting the first.
