Shedua?

My b-i-l just brought me a pile of Shedua boards he's had laying around for 30-ish years. Many different lengths and thicknesses. I've never worked with Shedua and know nothing about it. He got it when he was working in a cabinetry shop. I searched the Forum and don't see a a single post mentioning Shedua. Of course I've googled it, but was wondering if anyone here has experience using it and what they like/dislike about it.

Never heard of Shedua, perhaps there is another name by which the wood is known.

Never had the opportunity to work any but, guitar builders seem to like it. It's a very pretty, tight grained wood. Same family as bubinga.
Around here, it sells for $17.00 bf.

Encountered it once many years ago in a guitar making class. Very hard and burns easily like Bubinga. That is a very nice gift ! It polishes well just like most tropical African hardwoods. If it’s highly figured it can be pretty valuable stuff.
