Accessory Shelf Template

Hi hoagie,
I've been using the wire shelf for quite a while now and I'm happy with it. It's true the shelf doesn't collect sawdust; however, the things you place on the shelf do.
It's not a significant problem but don't think this addition will completely solve your sawdust problem - it won't.

Please do.psf513 wrote:Just a slightly different approach to consider. I used an old white vinyl coated wire shelving section that was laying around the house. I cut it to size and mounted it. The nice part is that it holds eveything you need except sawdust and woodturning shavings. I find that a MAJOR bonus. I can take a picture if desired.
Thanks

Hi James, WOW, the answer to my days of searching: SS tool storage. So, did you say you liked the new or old better? got a template so I can make one?james.miller wrote:When I upgraded to the 520 I built a fence holder to go on the 510 Accessory Shelf. When I bought the new Accessory Shelf a year ago I put my fence holder on it because it holds the fence securely.
The fence holder on the old Accessory Shelf.

I just saw the Accessory Shelf "manual" on the Shopsmith main web site. It has pictures of the shelf loaded with the various components. I recalled this question so thought I would post the link.

There's a hole that does not seem to be used in with any model that I have put to use, and I've made a small modification that helps me out.
I use the hole to store a crevice tool to use with the DC3300. I also drilled several small holes to hold the Allen wrenches that some of the SPTs require.
The picture is from the manual.
