Thanks very much! I’m now in Ohio for the housewarming. The box is a tad bigger than a shoebox. The fasteners are wrought-head cut nails from Tremont Co., which needed pre-drilling.

I'm pretty happy with another Menards hardwood find from today. Not figured wood as such, but I just love tight grain at the rift- or quarter-sawn patterns. This plank of hickory will be an asset for future projects.
