Yes, there is a bar and it’s got it I kick back claws, or whatever they’re called.

Just ahead of the bar with the kick-back claws is another bar. I believe that bar height above the table is intended to limit the thickness of what is being fed in. If that is correct, it seems that this would eliminate that theory as to what caused the bent roller (which I cannot imagine).

Yes, you are right and it is a very beefy bar as well. I have no clue what I may have done to this to bend that roller. But, I guess we just replace it and move on.

Thanks everyone for your help. The new (used) one is on it's way.

I'm not looking forward to tearing the planer down again, but really looking forward to getting it back to 100%.

I'm learning to make make cutting boards, and a working planer is pretty important to me.

Just wanted to check in and thank everybody for their help. I did buy the replacement infeed roller that was posted on eBay.

Life getting in the way slowed things down a little bit, but I swapped out the roller the other night, and reattached it to the power stand last night. Everything is working super again.

So we’re back in business.
