ShopSmith People
I had my headstock rebuilt by Alex Smith. Alex used 3 in 1 oil as the lubricant. I have a Zoom Spout Oiler that has a Paraffin Base Turbine Oil In it. Can I switch over to this lubrication without issues? Will it mix with the 3 in 1 oil Or is turbine oil not a proper selection? I can pick up another Zoom Bottle empty and put 3in1 oil in it.... Thank You!

Re: Shopsmith lubrications
I use both. 3 in 1 in the plastic bottles also has the pullout oil spout and is much easier to find in local stores. The Zoom will be fine although I didn't know it was paraffin based.
