Magna model ER

Hi all, this is my first post and I've been trying to research this old Magna model ER but I can't really find much about it. I inherited it from my grandfather about 25 years ago. I'm not much of a woodworker and this thing needs to go but before I let it go I want to know more about it. I've found a lot of stuff about the 10E/ER but nothing about the ER. It's in pretty good shape as you can see in the pictures though it needs rewired before it kills someone. I've posted an ad to sell it and have had a lot of people interested in it but no buyers as of yet. It's listed for 400 which I'm sure is way too high. Can anyone tell me if the 10ER and the ER are the same machine? I have most of the tools for it still including the original lathe tools that say Magna on them. What do you think would be a fair price for this and is there anyone on here interested in it?

It is actually a Model 10ER. For some reason when they changed from the Model 10E to the 10ER they only put ER on the Logo/Serial Number Plate. It may have been done to save redesigning the printing on the plate since 10ER would not fit in the space 10E did. Later it was redesigned and Model 10ER was on the plate. The pictures below show the three different plates.

This is not a site for selling it on. As for the price that varies on so many things. Condition, parts included or missing and even location.

Thanks for the response, I thought it was probably a 10ER since I couldn't find anything on just an ER. I'm going to research rewiring it so I can at least get it working again.

I restore Shopsmiths as a hobby. Because of their age all the Model 10E and 10ER's I restore get new cords and a switch. Depending on the motor the new wire connection goes to a terminal or spliced to the wire the cord is attached to. For the ground wire I use a ring terminal and attach it under the cover plate using the screw that holds the cover plate on. The original cords did not have a ground wire. Remember to use a high enough rated wire and switch for the motor's load. Check the amperage rating on the motors info plate.
