Hi all,
Probably a dumb question but here goes anyways. I have a "Goldie" with the 1-1/8 motor. When I am looking at picking up accessories, how do I know I am getting something that will fit my machine? Is it a 500? Will 510 and 520 parts fit a 500? I was looking for a 5/8 sawblade arbor. I noticed that some saw arbors have different ways to attach to the shaft. Is there a good source for older parts, kind of like a Shopsmith boneyard? Thanks.....BB
How do I know what parts to get?

Hi bondobat,
The "Goldie" is a model 500. Cosmetically it is my favorite. Functionally it's the same as all 500 models up to the mid-1980s. Your major choice is whether to stay with the 500 table/fence/arboring system, or go to a 510/520 upgrade package. Parts exist both new and used for all of them. Saw arbors are different between 500 and 510/520 in order to handle slightly different geometries at the tables & saw-guards, etc. I have both a 500 and a 510, and I love them both.
