Sharpening router bits?

Has anyone ever sharpened any of the SS router bits? I've been using a straight bit on bamboo and it's getting pretty dull. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Best wishes to all for a merry Christmas! Alec

Hi Jim,
Although your link worked as far as taking me to a web site, can you be a "bit" more specific? That web site is large and the page that you linked to does not explain router bit sharpening. :o

FWIW, that link took me directly to an article entitled "Care and Sharpening of Router Bits"
I right clicked on the link and opened it in a new tab in firefox 2.

on the other hand, I cannot find the page using the site's search engine.

You might try again, Tim. It took me to a page that explained sharpening with diamond paddles by hand.

Excellent article Jim gave us!:D Here are the paddles I use. They also work for Forstner bits and brad point bits. However it is touchy to do the smaller bits. http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page ... %20paddles
