I added a short block of wood to my unused Mk V 500 fence to use on my bandsaw. I used oak and a cotter pin to loop around the rod inside the fence. I bent the cotter pin split on the bottom of the block. Added a block to the interior to keep it from spinning. I hope the pictures upload.
This was a quick solution. One could make a spacer out of aluminum, use a threaded eye bolt, etc. One note: My band saw table came with the fence rail mounted when I bought it used. The same rail that comes with the current band saw fence sold by Shopsmith.

I finally figured out how to download pics from phone to PC, then reduce size using Paint. Hope the pictures help.cham-ed wrote:I do also hope those pictures upload. I have an unused 500 fence and i do not have a fence for my bandsaw.

Clever! Nice job!
