Yes, but, if your board type after login is also shopsmith you get them all over the place as stated above.

What is your question? I now have my board set to prosilver. When I log out the board reverts to shopsmith skin and I get the popup. If the board is set to shopsmith, once logged in the popup comes up all the time. I don't get the popup when logged in with prosilver.

I'm logged in with the Shopsmith skin and I don't see the mailing list popup. What device are you using, and what operating system and software?

My laptop and Firefox that has been used for years. We had this problem a couple of years ago. Pretty much every one had the problem. Apparently admin fixed it at that time and it has been gone since. For me it just poped up again a week or so ago.

I will try on another computer here and see if it is computer specific.

That is inconsistent with what I said above and continue to experience. I only get the e-mail thingie after initially logging in one time per each login and my 'user control status is always Shopsmith forum(skin).

OK, I was not getting the popup ever after it was "fixed" when it started a year or so ago using the shopsmith skin. Then when I started this thread it was popping up all the time like before. Changing to prosilver stopped it except when I log out because the skin reverts to shopsmith and the popup happens.

I probably don't get the popups because I never log out. I don't see any reason to log off the site. Anytime you shut down your browser, you end the connection so logging out serves no purpose for me. If the computer has the login information, it will log in automatically whenever you go to the site and log you off the site anytime you close the browser.

All well and good but My computers are on 24/7 and I never close out Firefox. Even if I do and log in now with the SS skin the popup happens. This is the same problem we had a year or so ago and everyone was complaining about it. Apparently admin did something to fix it because the problem totally went away, NO POPUPS. Now it is back, at least for me.

I will try one of my other computers. Maybe somehow the forum cookies on my lap top got corrupted.

Run CCleaner and purge the cookies and start over creating them. Only issue I have when doing that is my bank then 'does not recognize my computer'.
