Great Video

Post by sehast »

I came across this video today and thought that some of you might have some interest. No Shopsmiths used but a great shop with an outstanding set of tools and a women who really knows how to use them. Not a typical combination. Oh, and the whisky cabinet is pretty nice too. Have a look.

Yeah, Anne is pretty impressive. Her website is below with a little more info. She recently sold the shops (woodworking and blacksmith forging), and farm, in Seattle and just moved to Tennessee. A new shop will have to be built and it will be interesting to see what choices she makes in building it and what tools she fills it with...

So, my sexist initial reaction seeing this attractive and personable woman on Youtube is that she was simply a stand-in for whoever it was behind the scenes doing the real woodworking.

But, watching her, especially with hand tools, I came to realize that she's the real deal. I'm glad I was wrong.

I wonder how often Anne of All Trades gets confused with Ana White? Anne's builds are far superior to Ana's, and I like her video productions better as well. But I have a hunch that my wife, to pick one example of a female non-woodworker, would prefer Ana White's videos. Ana obviously isn't a "fine woodworker" (ok, her stuff can actually make Ikea stuff look pretty good), but she does have a focus on solving practical household problems.

BTW sehast, I sent you a PM a few days ago, and it doesn't look like you've opened it yet.
Make sure you check out Ana White's pocket hole video...you can't be a respectable woodworking YouTube influencer without a pocket hole video guide :D
