Sent in my state and federal taxes today. State was less by $31 and federal was me having to pay for the first time since I retired, $330. Had a good year with investments so no chance that will happen this coming tax season.

Yea I know I didn't have to pay but I figured I'd get it done just in case something might happen to me and the wife would have to try and figure this out or hire someone to do it.

No sign of my stimulus check yet. Check this evening. Might end up getting in the account about the time the irs takes the money out.

Have a grandson with a birthday tomorrow so it will be a card only even at this time. Hope by the time the rest have birthdays this will all be over. Got a couple of months before so things should be better at least.

Same here. Haven't heard from our sons, yet. They and their spouses are in "essential" jobs, though. We'll check with them this evening.

Dug another unfinished project out. A birdhouse I started a couple of years to demo a multi-sided glue joint bit (box is a hexagon). Time was not friendly to it and then the clamps I tried to use made it worse. So despite the fact I didn't have the right tape I went ahead and taped the joints then rolled it out to glue.

With the joints glued I wrapped it back up and put rubber bands on it to hold it while the glue dried.

Tape will come off today so I can see just how good or bad that worked. Then on to final sanding/repairing and then off to finishing.

This tool has been sitting for sometime now. Anyone remember Norm using one like this back in the day? This is actually version 2 of the one Norm used but it looks pretty much the same.

BTW they were called plate jointers......

Speaking of tools that Norm use to use.... if you were a fan and watched the show you will no doubt remember this saw:

I think I remember reading that this tool appeared in the most shows.

I used this for cutting up plywood sheets mostly. The black plate attached to a straight edge for a guided cut. Now that I have a better way of doing this I just removed the plate so the saw takes up less room. Saved the parts but see no reason I would ever go back to that method.

Norm sold me on a lot of tools over the years.
