Hello,
Just bought a Mark 520 in good shape. I going trough all the maintenance before I start using it. I bought the Low Odor Mineral Sprits thinking it would be ok. I was wrong, even with the doors & window open and the fan on full blast, the oder is overwhelming. I have used Mineral Sprits before & don't remember having that kind of physical reaction to it. I was using gloves & the rest of my safety equipment, but its a no go for me. What would be a good alternative to clean the unit & table with? The bottom way tubes have some small splotches on them any suggestions on cleaning them?
Thanks

Re: Alternative to Mineral Sprits
Bar Keepers Friend is great for cleaning the tubes. It contains oxalic acid, which makes short work of tarnish and light rust. I don’t recall trying it on a table, but it’s not supposed to be used on anodized aluminum.

You should be able to buy it locally, as well.

Thanks for the response, I did use barkeeps on the tubes, it worked ok, then I remembered what my Grandmother used to clean everything with. White Vinegar & Water mixed 50/50. Does a great job when combined with a fine schotchbrite pad! Wipe with clean water, dry & apply wax. Made the tables & tubes shiny again.
