Vintage mark V help with saw guard new owner

Post by mkrautha »

I just bought I shop smith from my neighbor. Seems to be in good condition, runs smoothly but the upper guard to the table saw seems off somehow. I think I may just be inserting it incorrectly. I tried posting photos here but the function doesn’t seem to work to do so. The upper guard is metal, and seems to attach to a metal l-bracket on the lower guard, Also, any info on the approximate year that went with this guard would also be appreciated.
Thanks,
Michael

Welcome aboard,
Posting pictures can be a bit tricky till you get the hang of it. The thread in this link will walk you through the process. https://www.shopsmith.com/ss_forum/comm ... 19246.html
