Missing In Action
Has anyone heard from or know the welfare of JPG. Silence is not typical of him.

Re: Missing In Action
Any reports of my likely demise are greatly exaggerated. (Apologies to Samuel Morse)[make that Clements, not Morse]dusty wrote:Has anyone heard from or know the welfare of JPG. Silence is not typical of him.
I simply have been inundated with self inflicted extra tasks to perform. I have been on the forum less than an hour total the past few weeks.
So the question here is: Is silence truly golden???
Also my apology to Dusty for he knows what. He has been bearing a burden alone recently.

Dusty, JPG, Ed. You guys have to stick around for at least the next 50 years. You have too much collective knowledge to ever disappear!
Stay health guys!

Thanks a lot but some other fall back needs to be established. I only have 16 years left (two pace maker battery changes)number3456 wrote:Dusty, JPG, Ed. You guys have to stick around for at least the next 50 years. You have too much collective knowledge to ever disappear!

Re: Missing In Action
As a lifetime farmer and being involved with a number of other enterprises I have always depended heavily on a lot of long term planning. In more recent years I have tossed any 20 year plans...
and 15 year planning is in a trash bag at the curb. 5 year planning is alive and well but 10 year planning is really shaky. I do have a timer sat to see if things are still going well in a couple of years. My bypass will be 7 years old this fall and while I'm now OK "they" keep saying that "something" that they don't understand happens frequently after about 8 years to change things substantially...
It's not that I'm planning a check out time, I've just mostly quit planning in general and play things more by ear as we go.
We go for a lot of country drives at the drop of a hat and we don't even plan ahead which way we will turn when we reach the end of the driveway as we leave.

Although my health is pretty good for my age, my plans don't extend beyond supper. Even then, things are subject to change.

Many agree that scripture says we have 3 score and 10 or 70 years
Well I am 73 so I guess I am on borrowed time.
Thank you Lord!
