I think that those devices on each end are the Shopsmith Table Extensions and if they are they can be utilized in such a way as to eliminate the need for a support leg.

I see no use for it with the Shopsmith. I could be wrong and that is was made for a specific purpose to use with the Shopsmith. I believe this is a case of something un-related getting mixed in with the Shopsmith parts over time. I did notice there are several missing standard accessory parts not with this Mark V 510 including the Table Support Legs JPG mentioned.

The end connectors for the legs are in this photo, is it possible that one of the sets of tubes in the table and extension table are actually the legs.
