Live Demo

Post by dusty »

I just now got off but I have been viewing and chatting with Mike Young and twelve other participants as he did a Power Pro Demonstration on line (via Zoom).

It was a great presentation with ample opportunity to ask questions and otherwise just chat. I sincerely hope that this can evolve back into a
Sawdust Session as well as future marketing demos.

The only thing that would have made it any better for me would have been "full screen". I could not get that to work with my setup.

I got the email about them but didn't sign up. I probably should have. It is great that it went so well.

I have gone to all his demos here in the Salt Lake or Layton Lowes's for years. I don't go for the demo or to buy anything. I just enjoy talking to Mike and the people that come up to the demo. I usually spend 1 1/2 to 2 hours standing there talking to him.

Be cautious using Zoom for conferencing. It is reported to have serious security issues and can put your information at risk.

Thank you. I sincerely appreciate the gesture. I have now been warned (again) regarding the security risks while using Zoom. But where did that warning come from? The internet! Now we all know that the internet is a reliable place to get information. Not only reliable but secure.

HA I clicked on that link. I read and viewed some of what was there. What happened? Ultimately I was encouraged to click on other links and to join in by providing certain information. At that point I closed my browser.

Yes, there are risks. There are risks every time you turn on your computer. Just don't put sensitive, private information out onto the web.

If you want to really feel safe from cyberattacks - unplug your computer. Avoiding Zoom chat rooms (such as the SS online session) is not going to do it. What might you use in lieu of Zoom? Oh, how about Skype?
