Wondering If I Could Get Some Help

Post by caralocke »

Hey Y'all!

So I'm kind've in a sticky situation. My father in law passed away last February and left behind an entire woodworking shop to my husband. As much as he'd love to take over doing his favorite past time that he loved to do with his dad, we currently don't own a garage sadly. Part of this woodworking shop came along this beautiful 50th Anniversary Shopsmith with I believe every attachment except the vaccuum. And even lathe attachments that weren't even used. I don't know much about it personally, but my husband is a steel hauler (soon to be owner operator) and we need to get this out of our basement as we're about to move his mother in with us rather soon as we because her health is deteriorating as well. If I upload the pictures I have, could you guys give me some round about price ideas I could shoot for? His mom gave me ideas, but I think she's aiming kind of high.

We can try, but need to know what part of the country you are from. $ varies by location. Realize this will be opinion(s).

Oh, sorry about that. I'm in the USA. Here in Ohio actually lol. My husband originated from Texas. We brought the Shopsmith up from there. It's in our basement now. I wish we had the room to set it up and use it like it deserves. I can post pics if you'd like.

What Part of Ohio? I'm near Dayton, and could be a possible buyer.

We're up northeast, about 45 minutes south of Youngstown. I read the post on how to post pictures, but does that allow posting multiple? I have about 10 pictures of this and the things that go with it to post and I don't want it to be considered spam. If anyone would like me to email them I could go that route as well.

Pictures would be a great start. There are 50th Anniversary versions of both 510 and 520 models, at least. The 520 would generally be worth several hundred dollars more than the 510.

If you're concerned about your mother-in-law's opinion of value creating a problem you might considering auctioning the system on ebay or similar. There's not much to discuss if you get offers and sell for the highest one.

Limit is 10 pix/post. Procedure is not intuitive. Max size is 2050x1180 and 2 mb. All limits must be met. Do not be afraid to scroll down to discover add pix...

Okay thanks everyone! I emailed them to the gentleman above, let’s see if they’ll post from my phone and hopefully not duplicate.

Darn, it looks like they didn’t post at all. I’m going to have to try to resize them on an editing app or something here in a few an try again. Sorry folks.
