Screw

Can someone tell me the type of screw that goes on a motor housing on a 81 Mark V?

If you really mean motor housing, please specify which screw and the version (brand) of motor you have. For the motor pan, I use regular #8 X 5/8 sheet metal screws with the Tinnerman clips (aka spring nuts) for pan to headstock housing (at least some Shopsmith ones have a blunt tip). I use 1/4-20 X 5/8 SEMS pan head screws for motor to motor pan. (I think the standard ones are 1/2", and some older ones are not SEMS style). I like to use stainless for both, but that is cosmetic.
