Do it Best hardware stores do have it. They don't stock it but it can be ordered, free shipping to the store. A 4' x 8' x 1/4" is $15.79 plus local tax. And it is made in the good old USA! So I have to drive about 11 miles to get it but gas prices are down.

It's 1 degree, snow is coming, high of 12 before noon when the bottom drops out... expected high on Thursday of -5 and a low around -16... it sounds like winter but I'm feeling spring in the air after finding this stuff!!!

Hi,

I went here:
http://doitbest.com/StoreLocator.dib

Entered my zip and looked at the refine search and set that to "Ship-to-Stores"

I entered your town,state
http://doitbest.com/Main.aspx?PageID=51 ... &search2=1

And it looks like you have a lot of options depending on just where you live.

In my area there are three of them so I picked the closest and clicked on the "Ship-to-Store" on the right under Store Options.

Once at the site put "dpi signature s2s" and you will see all the products including pegboard.

Hi,

If you get some let us know what you think of it. It will be couple of months before I try to buy some.

I sent Masonite an e-mail:
Does your company still manufacture the hard board commonly known as Masonite? If so, where can I order some. If not, can you direct me to the company that does? I have been having a hard time finding any at local lumberyards and big box stores. The product that they are selling as hardboard is not what I want.
And received this reply today:
Tim,

Thank you for emailing the Masonite Helpline.
Masonite no longer produces any hardboard products. We haven’t since 2004. You may try contacting a company called ABTCO as they are making similar hardboard product. They can be reached at 1-419-535-5921.

Thank you, Melissa
Masonite Helpline
That might explain why I still have some 1/4" thick stuff left from the last time I bought it, and now it is hard to find any that is 1/4" thick.:(
