Lefty-Righty Tape measure
This item was on sale at Woodcraft. As the name implies, you can read the tape measure either left to right or right to left when using the tape measure "upside down". I don't know about the rest of you but I when I have to measure something, more often than not I have to lace the lip of the tape on the right side and make a measurement .The blade is easy to read (for those of us of the bifocal wearing persuasion) and all of the measuring marks are marked in fractions (which I have found is a real help) eliminating memorization of fractions. The sixteenths measurement is in small red numerals. There is a built in pencil sharpener in the case. There is a small note pad on the side of the case to make small notes on which you can then erase. Total length of the tape is 16'.
This item is on sale at Woodcraft until the end of the month for under $7.50. Even the regular price of around $9.00 seems to be reasonable.

Hi,
I do like these and I have one that I've had for a while. It is hard to tell from the pictures if they still the same models... Mine says PSS-R and is the 16' version. It has a yellow tape, the same write on surface, a pencil sharpener, belt clip, and has a button on the bottom that controls how fast you let the tape return or as a temporary stop without using the lock. Also a tag that says "made in china".
As far as price goes the normal prices on these at many locations are under $8 so do a little research if you are going to buy. And they are in stock other places.
Here are a few pictures of mine.

Okay so I removed the Made in China sticker from my Lefty Righty. Yes I will continue to use it on a daily basis. In fact I intend to buy a second one. I find it's the handiest tape measure I have purchased. There are many goods I have looked at or purchased made in China that I would never look at again. However every once in awhile even the least favored source hits a home run. Come to think of it I have some measuring instruments made in the USA that are useless. Hmmmmmmmmmm

I got a lefty righty tape from Woodcraft and liked it so much I bought about a half dozen. Gave one to each son in law, one to my wife and kept three for myself. I have one in my cabinet, one in my shop apron and one in my measurement tools drawer. I love the thing. I really use the pencil sharpener and note making area. To me it is next best thing to sliced bread.
Ps my other tape measures go unused and neligected.
